My name is Vince, and I currently live in Lorain OH. I am going on my eleventh year of teaching at Elyria High School. Teaching is my second career, since I am already retired from the Military (troop to teacher program). I choose to continue my education in Instructional Technology because I am seeing another shift in the way that I deliver instructions coming my way. These smart-phones, pads, etc. are making my students mobile learners and I want to capitalize on the usage of those tools.
I have seen dramatic improvements in our buildings state report card over the last ten years, I know that these improvements are a result of the way we use technology in our school (ability to incorporate Classroom Performance Systems (CPS) and Smart-boards, etc.), the wide use of internet access has also helped our school to better perform.
We say that are kids are smarter at a younger age, well I believe technology has played a part in that, so I want to attempt to master as much as possible to better facilitate learning for my students.
